Moving item to front or back

Posted on 2008-11-02 06:35 by streefland

Hi,
First of all, very cool program!!
Question though, how can you move an item to the front or back, so that the overlap is correct?
For example, I now have a carpet overlaying the chairs and table.
Thanks!

Hi Streefland
Thanks for the compliment!
We have that option on our to-do list; but it isn’t possible yet. Currently the best way to get an item on top is to duplicate it; some items are on a different layer than others though which makes that for example a pond can never get on top of a tree; so most of them are allready sorted. A carpet actually shouldn’t be able to come on top of a chair though; we’ll check out why…

Ah, I found out the problem with the carpet; it has to do with the new undo functionality we implemented recently. I passed the problem to our programmers.
thanks for reporting btw

Also reloading floorplanner gets the furniture layers right.

Hi Streefland, we fixed the layer issue when using undo/redo. From now on, your carpets should stay under your table and chairs ;-)
